Company Expands
One of the leading medical de-installation specialists, Devon Medical Equipment Ltd has recently recruited two new members of staff, and opened new premises to help with the increasing demands of the company.
Devon Medical, founded more than 20 years ago by Managing Director Brin Laurie, provides an installation and removal services for MRI, CT scanners and other radiology equipment across the UK and Europe. As well as de-installing machines, they purchase redundant equipment so consumers can achieve maximum revenue for unwanted goods.
The substantial increase in business over the past few years has demonstrated a need for an increased work area and a larger workforce. Rob James has been recruited as an Office Manager at the newly refurbished headquarters in the South West. He will be dealing with nationwide administration demands for all regional staff, and provide support in all areas of Health and Safety.
The new 5000 sq ft office in Clevedon, North Somerset is more than three times the capacity of previous premises. The unit is able to provide MRI cold storage and space for refurbished and redundant equipment as well as a resourceful work area for staff. The new warehouse will help to ensure an efficient service is provided to all clients and offer a professional and well organised workplace.
In addition, Kerry Neal will be heading up the Marketing side of the business. Kerry will be working alongside Rob to help improve all communication and services provided within the organisation, starting with the launch of the new website www.devonmedical.co.uk in the summer.
